The flat has modern furnishings and is in very good condition. The open living and dining area offers plenty of space to relax and enjoy. Here you will find a cosy seating area by the fireplace and a large table for the whole family. The large windows provide a bright and friendly atmosphere with a breathtaking view of the sea and the mountains. The kitchen is fully equipped and leaves nothing to be desired. A fully automatic coffee machine and a large refrigerator await you.

The flat has two spacious bedrooms, all with en-suite bathroom and toilet, air conditioning, balcony and high-quality double beds. Due to the spacious floor plan, you will find absolute privacy here.
On the three balconies you will find the opportunity for sunbathing at any time of the day.

The absolute highlight of this flat is the 40sqm terrace, which offers a breathtaking, wide view of the turquoise sea, the offshore monastery island and the coastal mountains. Here you can relax, eat or simply enjoy the sun.

The location of the flat is ideal for those who want to enjoy life in a quiet environment, but still don’t want to miss out on the amenities of a town. Preko offers a variety of restaurants, cafés and shopping facilities as well as beautiful beaches. The closest walk to the beach is only 200 metres.

Sea Room for All – Your living area offers generous space for every time of day and season on the terrace, in front of the fireplace and in the kitchen.
The terrace is half-covered and also offers an electric awning for adequate sun protection. 8 people can dine at the terrace table. Sun loungers invite you to let your gaze wander over the Dalmatian Adriatic and enjoy the 2500 hours of sunshine a year. Privacy is also a priority here – the terrace cannot be seen.

The kitchen is equipped with every comfort. Here you will find all the utensils and plenty of work space to prepare delicious food.

You also have a beautiful view of the sea from the dining area.

The olive island of Ugljan in Croatia

Island of Ugljan - a scenic jewel

The island of Ugljan is a true jewel in the Adriatic Sea, located off the coast of Croatia. With an area of about 50 square kilometres and a population of around 7,500, Ugljan is one of the largest islands in the Zadar region.

The island is a true paradise for nature lovers and beach enthusiasts. The coast is surrounded by numerous bays and picturesque villages that blend harmoniously into the landscape. The pebble, stone and sandy beaches are unspoilt and the crystal clear waters of the sea invite you to relax and unwind.

A highlight on Ugljan is the fortress of St. Michael, perched on a hill in the centre of the island. The fortress was built in the 13th century and offers a breathtaking view of the island and the sea.

For active holidaymakers, Ugljan offers numerous opportunities for hiking and cycling. There are many hiking trails on the island that lead through the picturesque landscape and offer the opportunity to enjoy nature and the breathtaking views.

Preko - pure holiday

On the northeast coast of the island is Preko, a small village known for its traditional architecture and picturesque harbour. Here visitors can enjoy the local cuisine and taste fresh fish straight from the sea.

One of the outstanding features of Preko is the well-preserved old town that stretches along the coast. Here visitors will find charming narrow streets, old buildings and numerous restaurants and cafés offering a variety of Croatian specialities. The church of St. John the Baptist is another highlight of the old town and a popular destination for tourists.

Preko also offers a variety of swimming opportunities that meander along the coast. The beaches offer crystal clear waters and spectacular views of the sea and the surrounding islands of the archipelago. The most popular beaches are Jaz, Svitla and Batalaza.

Other attractions in Preko include a local market where visitors can buy fresh local produce such as fruit, vegetables and olive oil. In addition, the village also offers numerous opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking and cycling.

Your arrival

You can easily reach Preko by car or by plane via the port city of Zadar. There are several ways to get from Zadar to Preko:

Zadar International Airport has direct flights from many cities. Zadar airport offers a 20-minute transfer to the Gazenica ferry port. After the short walk from the airport to the ferry, you can walk to Preko after a quick arrival.

By ferry: Ferries run regularly and the journey takes about 25 minutes. Timetables and fares can be found on the websites of the ferry operators or at the tourist office in Zadar. There are also ferry services that transport cars.

There is a taxi and taxi boat on the island. The bus runs regularly all over the island.

Things to know

Your hosts

Your hosts Danijela Ivin and Florian Doose are deeply rooted in the island of Ugljan. Danijela grew up on the island and only came to Upper Bavaria when she started school. Today they travel to the island with their children every season and run a small olive grove as a hobby. The two are alternative practitioners and yoga teachers and run their practice with a yoga studio in Stuttgart. At least once a year, they organise a yoga retreat for one week in summer in Preko.
